GROSS Behälterbau was founded in 1934 as a copper smithy in Steißlingen, Germany. From that foundation, the company has built a strong reputation across the food processing, pharmaceutical industry, chemical industry and brewing and beverage industry — particularly for the construction of large pressure vessels, pressure tanks, cylindroconical fermentation tanks ZKG, mixing vessels and storage tanks suited to demanding industrial process applications.
Across decades of industrial production, GROSS Behälterbau has supplied vessels to a wide range of plant operators and OEMs — from small craft producers to large multi-site processing groups. The depth of experience is reflected in the build quality, long service life and consistent performance of every used GROSS Behälterbau tank available from Behälter KG today.
Since 2018, GROSS Behälterbau has been part of the Fluid Process Group, which brings together companies including and well-known valve manufacturers under one umbrella. As of September 2024, GROSS Behälterbau has been dissolved as an independent legal entity; tank manufacturing for the group is now carried out exclusively through RIEGER Behälterbau GmbH at its facility in Bietigheim-Bissingen.
