In which application fields are stainless steel IBC from THIELMANN UCON used?
UCON was founded back in 1740 and has a long tradition in the manufacturing of custom-made IBC containers. The focus is on cubic IBCs for liquids and bulk materials. Typical use cases include the transportation of raw materials in the fields of paints and coatings, fine chemicals, pharmaceuticals, as well as food, beverages, and pet food. THIELMANN UCON holds all the necessary certifications to ensure the containers are also approved for the transportation of hazardous materials.
In the area of IBCs for powders and bulk goods, THIELMANN UCON manufactures cubic containers with a conical bottom, typically equipped with a DN250 shut-off valve. Depending on hygiene requirements, the frame of the container can be designed using galvanized steel or stainless steel.
Since the acquisition of UCON by THIELMANN in 1999, the company has increasingly focused on producing reusable containers (KEGs) for the beer and beverage industry. As of 2024, the management team of UCON has separated from the THIELMANN group. UCON now continues the production of IBC containers based in Hausach, while THIELMANN concentrates primarily on manufacturing beverage KEGs in Spain.
