Tank manufacturing at Jorns Behälterbau in Hildesheim

The production site of tank manufacturer Jorns in Hildesheim combines a long tradition with modern tank and vessel engineering. Originally, innovative tank manufacturing was already carried out there by the company Ritter, before operations were continued by the newly founded Hildesheimer Behälterbau. Most recently, the same production site in Hildesheim was taken over by Jorns Behälterbau in 2024 after the tank builder HBB was no longer able to continue its operations independently.

Jorns continues the focus of the former Hildesheimer Behälterbau and specializes in the manufacture of large tanks and silos. The company produces tanks with diameters of up to Ø 4.4 m and volumes exceeding 400,000 liters. Typical applications include silos for starch, flour, sugar, dextrose and similar bulk solids. For liquid media, the company manufactures tanks for products such as mineral water, fresh milk, fruit juice concentrate or solvents.

Jorns offers tanks and silos exclusively as custom-built solutions, with optional integration of agitator technology, heating/cooling jackets, insulation and other components. The company also manufactures multi-compartment tanks that combine several product chambers within a single cylindrical body. This allows, for example, multiple CIP chambers to be integrated into one vessel instead of installing numerous individual tanks. In addition to large-scale tank construction, Jorns Behälterbau also manufactures sterile tanks and process vessels in all sizes and is approved for the production of WHG-compliant tanks.
