Half-pipe coil retrofit on 6 agitator tanks with 8,000 and 20,000 litre volumes

For an industrial customer, six existing agitator tanks from the paint and coatings industry were converted into melting vessels for wax: 3 × 20,000 litres and 3 × 8,000 litres. Half-pipe coils were retrofitted to the cylindrical shell and the bottom, designed for an operating pressure of 10 bar at 185 °C.

All tanks were subsequently re-certified under the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), including the retrospective issuance of all material certificates through non-destructive material testing.
