Tanks and Vessels from GROSS Behälterbau in Steißlingen
The tank manufacturer GROSS, based in Steißlingen, is looking back to a long tradition in tank and vessel construction. The company was founded in 1934 as a copper smith. Over the following decades, the company built a strong reputation in the food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries for manufacturing large pressure vessels, mixing vessels, and smaller process containers. However, the primary focus was on tank construction for breweries, particularly on pressure tanks and cylindroconical tanks (CCT).
Since 2018, GROSS Behälterbau has been part of the Fluid Process Group, which brings together subsidiaries such as Rieger Behälterbau and well-known valve manufacturers under one roof. Starting in September 2024, GROSS Behälterbau will also be dissolved as an independent legal entity, and the tank construction of the group will continue exclusively through RIEGER Behälterbau GmbH at the Bietigheim-Bissingen location.
