Aquí mostramos por qué los recipientes de acero inoxidable usados son una alternativa inteligente frente a tanques nuevos: disponibilidad inmediata, a menudo con una especificación más elevada y notablemente más económicos — además de ser más sostenibles (hasta aprox. 5 t de CO₂ ahorradas por tanque). 1. Used tanks & vessels are available immediately within just a few days
Used stainless steel vessels, tanks and reactors are immediately ready for delivery. As soon as you have found the right tank, dispatch can be prepared, and a transport can be booked (within 24 hours if necessary). This applies to small process vessels, containers, or even larger storage tanks. Only for items with a diameter of above 3.0 meters it is necessary to obtain a special transport permission which requires some advance planning.
2. Used tanks offer superior quality at an attractive price point
Brand-new stainless steel tanks are complex in terms of customer-specific construction and planning efforts. This does not apply to a used stainless steel tank. Due to the excellent resistance and durability of stainless steel, there are often hardly any qualitative differences between a new and a used stainless steel vessel. This leads to an unbeatable price / performance ratio, as used tanks are often available for purchase at only a fraction of a comparable brand-new stainless steel tank.
3. Sustainable & climate neutral: up to 5 tons of CO₂ are saved
Every used stainless steel tank that is put back into operation by one of our customers makes a positive contribution to maintaining our climate. On average, about 5 tons of carbon dioxide (CO₂) can be saved with a used vessel from Behälter KG. By overhauling and reusing used tanks and process machines, a sustainable contribution can be made to reducing global CO₂ emissions.
4. Used tanks are often of higher quality in terms of workmanship and material thickness
Stainless steel tanks are versatile in their construction and technical design. However, we source our used tanks almost exclusively from large, established corporations and medium-sized companies in German-speaking countries. That is why a large part of our tanks is made of higher quality AISI316 grade materials, with well-shaped dished bottoms and solid wall thicknesses. It therefore may be that a comparable used tank is much stronger and of higher quality than a price-optimized brand-new tank.
5. Used stainless steel tanks are comparably stable in value
In comparison to tanks manufactured in polyester, plastic or mild-steel, a used stainless steel tank is very stable in value. Depending on the size of the tank, the material price of the stainless steel makes up a large part of the tank value. If the tank one day is no longer needed, then Behälter KG Bremen will be happy to buy the tank back. If the tank should be defective, it can be scrapped and will still materialize a certain return (plastic or glass-lined tanks in contrast are costly when being disposed).
6. Often including high-quality accessories and / or measurement technology
We buy used stainless steel tanks in a fully functional condition directly from well-known production companies. Often there is still measurement technology on the tanks, such as level sensors, flow measurement equipment, pressure measuring devices or temperature sensors. Since we do not test these accessories, they are included in the purchase with the tank at no cost and without guarantee. This also applies to other accessories, such as high-quality pneumatic valves or dead space-free outlet valves that might be installed on a used vessel. Often these accessories are still fully functional and hence increase the actual value of the purchased tank.
7. Renting instead of buying: your solution for temporary projects or test facilities
For temporary or seasonal storage capacities as well as pilot projects, you can rent suitable used tanks from Behälter KG. The minimum rental period typically starts at 4 weeks, but depends on the tank and the intended use. Delivery and collection can usually be coordinated within just a few days.
